Based on a 1940s vintage sports jacket,
this Humming Bird Jacket is crafted from Trophy Clothing’s original "Blackie Denim" selvedge denim!
To reiterate,
we have crafted the iconic "Humming Bird Jacket" from TROPHY CLOTHING using the hard-to-find "Blackie Denim"!
"Blackie Denim" is
an original TROPHY CLOTHING selvedge denim, composed of sulfur-dyed black warp yarns and reactive-dyed brown weft yarns,
all produced in Okayama—from the pre-shrinking and Sanforized processing to the dyeing and finishing.
This ink-like, profound "black"
offers a different look from the black of leather or the indigo of standard denim.
For the details, it features a ball-chain zipper on the chest pocket.
Seen on vintage riders' jackets,
this functional zipper was chosen to be easy to grip even while wearing gloves.
The front features an original fan-shaped pin-lock zipper with the TROPHY engraving.
It also includes a leather tab for easy opening and closing.
The side straps feature an original iron buckle with a decorative pattern.
The basic design, inherited from the 1st model introduced in 2012,
has not changed significantly to this day,
and its high versatility—pairing perfectly with workwear, military styles, denim, or chinos—is what makes it so appealing.
